Caffe Demetre

Perennial classics which the family has been having for many more than two decades now. Some old classics still remain and some new ones are being added. Some vegan choices have been added and some removed. The ones that are gone were my favourites and is disappointing. Family and guests from here and abroad seem to enjoy and I don’t mind bringing them here.

My family from across the country comes to this place for the amazing desserts! So many options and each of them more mouth watering than the other. I love the waffles!

This is place is amazing coming here since kid the crepe is the one thing I always get, I highly recommend it. If your looking for a place to have some fancy dessert this is the place

Desserts are pretty good, portions are quite generous. We have gone a few times after a movie (so around 10pm) and they always seem short staffed. Tonight it took 2 hours to have our desserts, between waiting for someone to take our order and waiting for someone to come by so we could ask them for the bill. There seemed to be only 2 servers for the whole place, so I don't necessarily blame them but would ask management to reconsider their staffing needs for weekend nights. We are not really enticed to go again after today's service.

One of the nicest Demetres in the GTA! Definitely prefer over the one that's on Burnhamthorpe. Highly recommend the Pomme Pilot Waffle my go to on dates.Iced cappuccino not as good as I thought prefer the Milkshakes instead.

Great place for both family and friends! Even though there was only one person working when we (group of 5) went and the place was fairly busy, we had no complaints. Good service and great food.

If you love desert, this is definitely the place to visit. There are so many desert types, both hot and cold. When I visited I had an ice cream sundae. I was impressed with the portions of the ice cream and the prices. Definitely take a look at the menu, as there are many options. I will definitely be visiting again.

Great food and great service. We were planning on going to Symposium for our after dinner desert (for our anniversary). Turned out they were closing at 8, my wife suggested this place. They have a good variety of crepes and sundaes. The server was very friendly and took pictures for us. Would definitely recommend it to friends and relatives.

The food was delicious, and that's where the stars end.. we were there for an hour before getting a milkshake, and another half an hour or more for the actual food. I assume they were short staffed but there was zero acknowledgment of the long wait times. Could have been handled in better ways!

Went with my family and it was a good experience. There are several varieties of ice cream combinations served with crepes or waffles to choose from and the flavors were nice. Though a bit costlier, worth going once in a while

Service was not particularly fast, but the desserts are great. Demetre's is a bit pricier but they also have reasonable portions to go along with it. My favourite thing about Demetre's has to be their punny menu, and the flexibility in subsituting sauces, ice creams, or anything else.

Went with a friend in the afternoon, the place wasn't full and we were seated right away. They have a huge menu and there plates usually come quickly all fancy and good looking. Wish we were offered spoons with the ice cream instead of the forks (it made it a bit harder and a lot messier to eat ice cream with the fork bud) but yea server was too busy working on more than 5 tables by himself, taking orders, making the plates and cleaning tables.

Where else can you eat the best cheesecake in the universe?

A great place to get diabetes :-) great ice cream and crepes. We tried the split personality which is enough for 3-4 people easy. We also tried a crepe but I forgot the name of it. It was amazing with a scoop of ice cream (I think they all come with ice cream) then topped it off with a Nutella shake. A little pricey but worth it. We paid about $50 for those 3 orders

Great desserts or treats if you want. Not cheap by any means but very good. For a desert restaurant they have very good options with very inventive names. But with pricing running in the 8 for a milk shake to 15 or so for some of the top end plates it's not cheap at all. Be prepared for high prices but quality product. I personally feel much of it is overpriced but still enjoy it a few times a year as a treat.

The dessert at demetres is really tasty and worth the price. The store is clean, the staff are nice, and there is sufficient parking in the plaza. The only problem with the restaurant is the extremely slow service. At rush hours, there are usually a lot of people lined up to get in, and then it takes a while for a waiter to reach your table. Nonetheless, it's still a fun place to have dessert and worth visiting if you are in Oakville.

I cannot say that they go above and beyond. There is a good variety of options, some of them quite good (especially for a chocolate lover). The service has never let me down, though nothing ever stood out about the experience.

I love coming to Demetres for their crepes! They make fantastic desserts like crepes, cakes, and waffles. They serve huge portions and are smothered in chocolate. They have wide variety of flavors and options for everyone. The only downside is their pricing. It is too expensive for some of their desserts considering the facts that most of their desserts consist of few components. If they made their prices a bit cheaper, i would probably frequent more often, but now it's more of a special occasion place.

Good dessert place. But always crowded. Always have to wait for a table.

Moo la la 😋😋 such a warm and cozy place for a late night get together, a romantic outing or just to fulfill your sugar cravings.Plate is good to share with friends.Reasonably priced.

I love what they have down with the place! Completely revamped. Brand new place with the fancy chairs and framed gigantic pictures! Their rose flower wall for pictures is a great touch!The desserts are amazing as always. Downfall, their cappuccino is too small, used to have two sizes but now just the one. Expensive and not satisfying.Should Bring back the larger cappuccino for those of us who enjoy it.

The Food Was The Best Amazing Creap But when I went to the washroom the toilet was flodding it was really gross so that’s why it’s a 3Star Edit:It turns out that never experienced this and it happened 5Min before I went so its going up to a five Great Food

It's an ok place. The food is decent, nothing fancy. The pricing does not reflect the quantity you receive. If the taste was extraordinary, then I wouldn't hesitate to pay, but when I can finish my $5 white hot chocolate in 4 sips, I feel I'm getting ripped off. The service was ok, was only one waitress working, but she did a good job.Not a place I would visit often as there's better dessert places around.

Really like the staff, very friendly and inviting. My waffle was cool and not crispy a bit disappointed but it was an okay overall experience.

Service was about average still a great spot to chill with friends and what better to chill with -- ice cream. The banana split presented well and was very tasty. Portion was large and I would recommend it for sharing.

Didint catch the servers name but she was cool laid back one said we couldint sit by the back area but she was nice enough to say it’s no issue and of course you’ll never go wrong with anything on the menu here always good food

It’s heaven for kids. We had shakes, ice cream scoops and slices of cake. The presentation, taste and quantity was up to the mark. This load of carbs kept the kids fully energized for the next few hours of fun activities that we planned for them 😀.

So yummy! I switched the ice cream to their Banana Dolce flavor and it was so tasty!

It's a strange mix of customer service, we came in here for a late night date, it was her birthday so I asked the staff on the side if they had any special birthday items, they didn't so I didn't think anything of it. Even though there were almost no people we waited at least 12 minutes after we sat down to have our order taken. But when they did bring out our drinks and food they provided a nice birthday treat, 2 candles which was a big plus! I didn't even think they'd remember. Food tastes great, but way to rich for late nights. Of course we'll be back.

We had waffles and crepes with ice cream and nutella... it was very good and the portion was just right... i think its a good value for money... we also had tea which was good and fairly priced... the service was attentive and quick... i would like to go back again... the only downside in my opinion is the choice of music which felt a bit outdated otherwise it is highly recommended

I absolutely love going here! I've tried a few different items in their menu but I always go back to Cocoa Ono (a chocolate fudge cake with honey vanilla ice cream and drizzled with more milk chocolate) it's amazing and I highly recommend it!

This location is right across the movie theater. Has a good variety of desserts. Portions are big so it can be shared between 2-3 people. Staff is very friendly. Enjoyed my desert. It can get pretty busy from my previous experience. We went late at night around 11pm and were seated right away. Always nice to visit this location.

A great place to get good desserts especially anything with ice cream.They make a very tasty waffles and they use fresh fruits.I liked also the cappuccino

I think demetres is overrated. Its the ice cream thats just bad. Everything else is good but the ice cream always tastes weird. Time to find a new vendor
